First let me say we don't know shit about the universe, what time is and our origins. We think we do, but we don't. I definitely entertain the idea that panspermia is more than an interesting theory and I will go one further and say that Mars is an old earth that a few inhabitants escaped after they had destroyed the their environment, which it appears that we are in the process of doing so. If we could make a giant cat scan machine and scan the earth we may find some clues to our origin. Of course that doesn't exist so we have all these theories to think about.
